Brethren,

Congratulations Brethren, we have successfully completed one month into our 2016 term. We have been able to conduct our meetings and rehearsals despite some close calls with a couple of snow storms. We are now entering into March and we have two major events on the horizon. Our first will be on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at 5pm with our Third Degree Raising. We will be raising 4 Fellowcrafts (3 from St Columba &1 from Oxon Hill). This event will start at 5pm with a dinner provided by our Jobs Daughters Bethel 62 and we start the Degree at 6pm. We are still in need of some Brothers to be part of the Degree. Please see me; we could use your assistance. This will be a great night of Brotherhood and Fellowship. This will also be a night these newly Raised Brothers will never forget. The next event is our Annual Open House on April 2, 2016. Our dear Brother Ron Wright has volunteered to be the Chairman of this event and is looking for additional Brothers to assist him in this event. Please contact Brother Ron if you are able to assist in our Open House. Lastly, lets us all congratulate the Golf Tournament Committee on the superb work they have been doing in planning and getting sponsors for Golf Tournament this year. This will be our best Golf Tournament ever! Thank you again for all you do and for allowing me to serve as your Worshipful Master.

Sincerely & Fraternally,

Reggie Eda, WM

Brethren,

April showers will bring May flowers and our lodge is also starting to bloom.   Thanks to all the Brothers who made our Open House and other recent activities successful.  I hope this bulletin finds you all in good health and spirits.  Please let us know if anyone out there is in need of assistance, a telephone call, a visit or a card.  I hope our Brethren living farther away are also doing well.

During our last meeting, on April 21, 2015, we raised Brother Vaseem to the sublime degree of Master Mason. This was an important night for our lodge as every position was filled with Brothers from St. Columba, Lodge #150.  I am proud of everyone who made this night possible.   Thank you for your hard work and dedication in preparing for Brother Vaseem’s special night.

We still have a 2nd degree, a 3rd degree and potentially some 1st degrees before the summer break.  So please, keep an eye on our website and Facebook for updates and events.  It may be necessary to have a special meeting to keep these Brothers moving forward.  This also raises a question; do we have your current contact information?  Please make sure you keep us in the loop with address, email or telephone number changes.

Stay safe!

Fraternally,

Dannie Bowen, WM
